In about half an hour I’ll be leaving work and heading over to my triathlon training club in Shuwaikh. I’m expecting to meet my coach for a well needed pep talk for my triathlon next month; lord knows I can use some advice and an increase in morale. No matter how many hours of training I’m putting in on daily bases, and no matter how much sweat drips from my face, chest, back,..and the list goes on, I still feel a little bit anxious about the Valencia Triathlon. After all, I have never experienced anything even remotely similar to competing at a certified triathlon.
The open water swim is what I’m worried most about. I’m worried about the salt. I’m worried about getting kicked in the face. I’m worried about cramping. I’m worried about sharks.. yes, I have a wild imagination.
Cycling 20km, I’m cool with.
Running 5km, I’m cool with.
AAH! Let me tell you, let me tell you, my jersey is currently being created by the famous young Kuwaiti triathlon jersey designer Dana AlMadani ! Can’t wait to give you a glimpse =D

Hello :D haha
Today’s post is written with my iPhone while waiting for my over-mediums at one of the breakfast joints in Kuwait City.. not the best way to compose anything really.. so pardon me if my thumbs get too tired and leave this post midway :P
My Garmin watch ran out of battery, and hence I cannot give you specific details, with that said, I think I did 40km of Cycling in 110 minutes. It was humid; sticky but not sweet. It was windy, in the return but not going. It was beautiful, all along the way :D
Only ONE stray dog chased me today haha

A couple of days ago I went to the Jabriya service center to renew my passport, and voilà [must find the Spanish equivalent to voilà] here it is! My new passport with the new and more accurate spelling of my name wooHAAW!! Unfortunately though, they changed my occupational status from “student” to “employee” engwaa waa waa :(
Note: I loudly applaud Kuwait gov for acknowledging the difference between sex and gender :)
